Arriva Midlands, like many other sectors, now beginning to move in to a recovery phase, with more frontline staff coming back off furlough and more vehicles being made ready for service – all the time making sure they continue to be Covid secure for teams and customers.
From Monday 15th June they will be introducing a number of changes:
Telford – Arriva will be operating duplicate journeys on the busiest routes to ensure they can provide additional capacity in anticipation of increased passenger numbers with non-essential retail opening. Duplicate journeys will predominately be operated on services 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 7.
Shrewsbury – They will be increasing frequencies on services 1, 9, 11, 25, 26 & 27 but also be running extra duplicate journeys on services 1 & 11.
The Arriva bus website will be updated to reflect the timetable changes.
Arriva are also making sure that customers are aware of the need for them to wear face coverings on all buses from Monday 15th June and helping the drivers to understand how they can play their part with this requirement. The drivers in the cab don’t have to wear a face covering and there are a number of exemptions for customers. The passenger notice below will be on display on the exterior of vehicles with further guidance on social distancing and face coverings on display throughout the interior.
Customers who are exempt can download and print an Arriva Journey Assistance Card from our website to make their exemption visible to other passengers.Follow us
